I knew I was in for it when after marriage I realized that I would be picking up Allen's clothes fro from the floor next to his side of the bed every morning. Now, walking around the house every day picking up shoes is starting to kill me. With a family of five, I figure I average about three pair of shoes per person, so that is around fifteen. Fifteen times of bending over and picking up shoes of all sizes and style and putting them away. (away meaning: coat closet, master closet, or baskets in the garage according to what and who they belong to)
This may be a sign of OCD but I can not walk past something on my floors with out stopping and picking it up and putting it away. It's starting to get to me. I need therapy.

Thanksgiving 2008 in Telluride, Co with my sister Lucy, her husband David, and their kids Emma Lee (named after you know who) and Trueman (who turned 1 this past August) The hotel we stayed at was really great for our special needs having five kids and four adults. This is us taking the golf cart over to the gondola.
This is us riding the gondola up to the top of the mountain to eat at "Allreds"
This picture is the only group shot we got and you can see it was ridiculous!

Furry, Furry, Squiarrel
Ryan's Kindergarten Poem
Furry, furry, squirrel
hurry hurry hop
scurry up the tree trunk
to the very top.
When you reach the branches
hurry turn around.
Furry Furry squirrel,
scurry to the ground.

Allen's 31st Birthday
Okay so it's our time of year. I feel like I have to post stuff every day cause there is so much going on. Allen's birthday was Nov 8th. I planned a romantic evening up in Park City. We stayed the night at the Stein Erickson Lodge at Deer Valley. The reservation "package" came with a three course dinner at the restaurant there so even though Allen loves Ruth's Chris we decided to eat the free meal and save some cheezers. It was NOT good. Here is a picture of my ridiculous dessert. Allen and I couldnt stop laughing at how ugly it was. After the meal we already ate I was not surprised to see this dessert come out. Now I watch Top Chef and I know this dish should have that chef "packing his knives and going"

Reflection 2008
So the school kept sending home reminder notes about this PTA Reflections contest. I think its a yearly nation wide deal and it sounded like everyone participated. Sooo I sat Ryan down at the table one day two week ago and said "pain something!" So here comes in the mail a letter saying RYan "WOWed the judges" and won Honorable Mentions in his visual arts category. So I was thinking that everyone wins an honorable mention award for just submitting something but when we show up a lady standing there said Ryan won second and acted like it was this huge big deal. He ended up winning second in Visual Arts out of a ton of entries. (They said they had over 200 entries for the whole thing but I have no idea how many of those are visual arts) It was this great big ceremony and Ryan had to go up twice to receive his prizes. Luckily Allen had his iphone to take some pictures.Who would have thought?

Princess Extravaganza!
We had two princess parties in two days. One for my niece Reily on Friday and Presley on Sat. Lucy and my mom flew in from Texas and I was so glad I got to totally wear them out before sending them home again.

Second Time Around
This is the second time I have been on this thing. My life hasnt gotten any more exciting then before. Ryan started kindergarten and Presley is to start preschool next week. Gymnastics, dance, and soccer are all right around the corner. I have started a new work out regiment with my zanie neighbor Abby. She is kicking my butt. Seriously I haven't done sit ups since high school. Me and Evan are on our own two morning a week now, yeah! I dreamed of this day every since he was born and I couldn't find a spare moment in the day to snuggle him like I wanted. I remember thinking, "in two years I will have two mornings a week just to snuggle this little guy." Luckily my "little guy" still likes to snuggle, unluckily, its to late to get back that first year of nursing and bonding that we missed out on. Thats ok, beggars can't be choosers.
